Reepithol resin salve is used for the local treatment of infected and uninfected wounds at home or professionally. Wounds can be acute or chronic: e.g. abrasions, broken skin, cracks, burn wounds, pressure or diabetic wounds, surgical wound complications or open blisters.
The abrasion, broken skin or wound should be cleaned with water and dried. Reepithol resin salve should be applied directly to the affected area 1-2 times every day. If required, the affected area should be protected by a breathable gauze or bandage. Wound lumens and open blisters are treated according to instructions provided by a wound care nurse or doctor. Reepithol resin salve forms an antimicrobial film on the wound’s surface, which will protect the wound from contamination and support efficient healing. Avoid getting the salve into the eyes or mouth.
